Seraikela: Kasi Sahu College in Seraikela was put under lock and key by the students agitating against the closure of B.Sc admission announced by the college and Kolhan University recently.
Demanding resumption of the said course, the students alleged that the university authorities concerned had turned a blind eye to the students who were finding it hard to continue their studies.
They said the university had stopped taking admissions in B.Sc and M.A for the academic session 2014-17. As a result of the announcement, the students of the area are at a loss and are unable to decide as to where to go to pursue their graduate and post graduate studies in science and arts respectively, said one of the agitating student leaders.
The student leaders further alleged that prospectus and admission forms were being sold and admitted by the college authorities till recently. Earlier during the day, the agitators drove out the college staff and locked the college office.
