Ranchi: Meeting the people of Karimati at Project Building on Friday, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that their village will be developed as a model village. The people of Karimati told the CM that their village has been defamed due to Santoshi�s death and said informed that Santoshi didn�t die due to starvation.
Das assured the villagers that the govt. is committed to remove poverty but some people are plotting to defame the govt.
Raghubar Das suggested that every Sunday, the villagers should conduct a meeting in their village and identify the poor.
‘The state govt. is promoting bee keeping, animal husbandry and poultry work and the people of the villages will be trained in knitting and weaving products like towel, bed sheet, blanket etc. and the produce will be purchased by the govt.’, added Das.
CM further said that only education can eradicate poverty and appealed people to spread awareness against liquor use. If a village succeeds in banning liquor, it will be awarded with Rs. 1 lakh. He also directed the DC and SP to stop illegal liquor production at villages and towns immediately. He directed to run S-drive against it and said that if illegal liquor is sold in any police station area, the officer-in-charge will be answerable.
