Jamshedpur: The annual meet of National Service Scheme (NSS) swayamsevaks was organized in the Karim City College auditorium on Tuesday.
The chief guest of the event was the regional director of NSS for Jharkhand and Bihar, Deepak Kumar.
In his address, Kumar said the energy of NSS Swayamsevaks should be tapped in the right way to give fillip to India�s development. He said the work being done in the field of social welfare by the 70 units working under Kolhan University was commendable.
The students were also addressed by the NSS coordinator of KU, Arvind Prasad Pandit. More than 100 swayamsevaks and programme officers of various KU colleges participated in the programme.
Pragya Singh was felicitated for getting the best yoga demonstrator award at the national unity camp organized in Manali.
The college principal Dr Mohammad Zakaria also addressed the students. The programme was conducted by the programme officer of Karim City College, Dr SK Anwar Ali and Syed Sajid Parvez.
Among others present on the occasion included Sanjay Solomon, Anmol, Prachi Priyam, Pragya Singh, Amit, Sourabh, Abhijeet, Asif, Pinaki, Subroto, Preeti and Yogita.
