Karim City College’s Nilesh Soren selected for pre-Republic Day Camp

Jamshedpur: In a moment of pride for Karim City College and the city of Jamshedpur when NSS volunteer Nilesh Soren was selected for the prestigious Pre-Republic Day (Pre-RD) Camp 2025, organized under the banner of Kolhan University, Chaibasa. His achievement, marked by discipline, dedication, and leadership, highlights the strong presence of Karim City College students in the fields of social service and youth leadership.A total of 16 volunteers—8 boys and 8 girls—were chosen in this selection process, which tested physical fitness, discipline, parade skills, and commitment to social service. Nilesh stood out in all categories, securing his place among the best.

Among boys: Vishal Kachhap (Jamini Kant B.Ed. College, Salboni), Marshal Bagay (Institute for Education, Seraikela), Monkey Banra (K.S. College, Seraikela), Sukumar Baske (Jamini Kant B.Ed. College, Salboni), Praveen Prasuteh (Madhu Sudhan Mahato Teachers Training College, Chakradharpur), Jitendra Nath Murmu (Patamda Degree College, Jala), and Lal Singh Sinku (G.C. Jain Commerce College, Chaibasa).

Among girls: Sanjana Rajak (K.S. College, Seraikela), Shakuntala Soren and Midhu Rani Mahato (The Graduate School College for Women, Jamshedpur), Gudiya Mukhi (Women’s College, Chaibasa), Naina Kumari Mahato (Institute for Education, Seraikela), Kajal Singh (The Graduate School College for Women, Jamshedpur), Taravati Doraiburu (Rambha College of Education, Gitlata), and Sandhya Beli Oraon (MBNS Institute of Education, Asanbani, Jamshedpur).

All selected volunteers will now participate in the Pre-RD camp at YBN University, Ranchi, which serves as a stepping stone to selection for the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi.

Principal of Karim City College, Dr. Mohammad Reyaz, congratulated Nilesh and described the achievement as a proud moment for the institution. He expressed confidence that Nilesh would showcase his talent at the national level in the near future.
