Jamshedpur, Sept 12: Karim City College (KCC) organized a ‘Strokes and debate’ competition under the aegis of Society for Promotion of Art and Culture(SPArC) that brought forth promising talents in the realms of painting and public speaking. According to a member of the organizing committee, the primary objective of this competition was to promote art among students and enhance their intellectual capabilities through ideation battles while also providing them with a platform to hone their inherent talents in the twin categories.
The panel of judges included Anoop Sinha, who assessed stroke-painting and sketching, Rachna Mahato, who judged Rangoli and face painting, Dr Shailendra Asthana and Varun Prabhat for Hindi ideation, Riya Basu and Aditi Chatterjee for English ideation and Dr S Iftikhar Navi for Urdu ideation.
The list of winners included Anisha Sarkar (first) and Inshirah (second) in the Rangoli section; Subharnajan Dandia and Kanishk Dey’s team (first) and Muskaan Kumari and Mahak Kumari (second) in the Face Painting section; Saurabh Sinha and Laxmi Ram Murmu (first) and Harsh Jha and Muskaan Kumari (second) in Hindi Ideation; along with Sneha Gorai and Rajvardhan; Ishrat Naz and Vaishnavi Kumari (first), Mobina Begum and Shaista Amber (second) in English Ideation and Md Minnatullah and Safdar Haron secured the first position in the Urdu Ideation segment.
