Jamshedpur, Dec 22: The closing ceremony of the three-day photo exhibition cum awareness program on the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, Fit India, under the joint initiative of Central Bureau of Communications, Gumla and Department of Mass Communication, Karim City College was organised at the college campus.
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and remember the glorious history of 75 years of progressive India and the culture and achievements of its people. Under this, the closing ceremony of the photo exhibition cum awareness program was held from December 20 to December 22.

Chief guest Dr. P.K. Pani, Finance Officer, Kolhan University and Guest of Honor Jiren Topno, Head Tribal Culture Center & Urban Services, Tata Steel Foundation along with Dr. Mohd. Reyaz, Principal, Karim City College, In-charge of Mass Communication Dr. Neha Tiwari and Regional Publicity Officer Mahvish Rehman were present.
All the guests visited the stalls at the exhibition site and took selfies at the selfie points set up by the department. After that all the guests observed the exhibition and after coming on stage the lamp was jointly lit by all the guests. After that the Principal of the college, Dr. Mohammad Reyaz welcomed all the guests by giving them shawls, saplings and mementoes.

While giving the welcome speech of the inauguration ceremony, Principal of Karim City College, said that the youth were greatly benefited from this exhibition organized in Karim City. While introducing the subject, Dr. Neha Tiwari said that this exhibition is an important initiative to celebrate the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. Finance Officer of Kolhan University Dr. P.K. Pani, as the chief guest, said that organizing the exhibition of the Central Bureau of Communications is a matter of pride for the city of Jamshedpur. Jiren Topno, Head, Tribal Culture Center and Urban Services, Tata Steel Foundation, said that this exhibition is an important initiative to remember the sacrifices of the freedom fighters of Jharkhand.
On December 21, a solo dance competition was organized among the students of Karim City College. About 10 winners of these competitions were awarded by the guests. Along with this, all the members of Mass Communication Department Dr. Neha Tiwari, Dr. Rashmi Kumari,Taseer Shahid, Bapi Murmu, Syed Sajid Parvez, Syed Shahzeb Parvez and Javed were honored for making the program successful. Along with this, NCC officer Capt. Dr. Fakhruddin Ahmed was also honored. Along with this, Field Publicity Officer of Central Bureau of Communications, Mehvish Rehman, technical assistants Anjani Mishra, Atulyartan Tirkey, Sanjay Sahu, Devnarayan Munda and Puneesh Munda were also honored.
On the occasion, information related to public utility schemes was also given by the stalls of Post Office, State Bank of India etc. A stall has been put up by the students of NCC, Mass Communication and NSS, in which important information was given about the preparation for joining the army and government competitions. Selfie booths were also prepared on this occasion, on which students and common people were given an opportunity to take selfies.
The program was coordinated by Taseer Shahid, teacher of Mass Communication and the vote of thanks was done by Mrs. Mehvish Rehman, Field Publicity Officer, Central Bureau of Communications, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Director of Education, Karim City College Dr. Mohammad Zakaria and Hasan Imam were also present in the programme.
