Jamshedpur, July 28: Voices of pride resonated from every corner of India as the Ram Mandir auditorium in Telco echoed with powerful poems and slogans, “Kargil soldiers, India is proud of you.” The occasion was the Silver Jubilee of Vijay Diwas, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The event, organized under the banner of the Purv Sainik Seva Parishad (Ex-Servicemen Service Council) Jamshedpur, was marked by patriotism and tributes.

The ceremony began with the lighting of lamps by war heroes, brave women, and distinguished guests, including Air Vice Marshal HP Singh, honored with the Vir Chakra and Vishisht Seva Medal. Other notable attendees included Jharkhand State President Colonel Akhouri Ranjan Sinha, Station Headquarters Commandant Lieutenant Colonel Rajesh Gupta, District Sainik Welfare Officer Colonel Kishore Singh from Chaibasa, District Council Vice President Pankaj Sinha, BJP Kisan Morcha State Vice President Rajkumar Singh, Tata Motors Union President Gurmeet Singh Tote, Tata Motors GM Jivraj Sandhu, and several social workers.

Special guest Air Vice Marshal HP Singh addressed the gathering, highlighting the enduring significance of the Kargil War and its inspirational impact on future generations. Colonel Akhouri Ranjan emphasized the bravery of Indian soldiers in reclaiming the peaks of Kargil, despite the difficult terrain and adverse conditions.

Colonel Rajesh Gupta lauded the courage and valor of the Indian Army, noting the significant sacrifices made to regain control of strategic positions from the Pakistani army.

During the event, 30 Kargil War heroes and their families were honored with shawls, bouquets, and mementos. Among those honored were Veer Nari Seema Devi, Durgavati Devi, Kargil War hero Havildar Manik Vardha, Naval Kishore Pathak, Hari Singh Sandil, and many others who served with distinction.

The program featured patriotic dances, songs, and dramas, captivating the audience with performances that celebrated the heroic spirit of the soldiers. Kargil War Hero Manik Vardha shared vivid accounts of the war, bringing to life the bravery and determination of the Indian soldiers.

The event was conducted by Rajesh Pandey and Uday Chandravanshi, with Vinay Yadav, President of the organization, delivering the vote of thanks.

Air Vice Marshal HP Singh remarked that the valor displayed by Indian soldiers in Kargil was indescribable. He emphasized that the Kargil War was a source of inspiration for the new generations of India, showcasing unparalleled patriotism and courage.

Numerous social organizations gathered to lend their support to the Kargil Diwas Silver Jubilee celebrations held at Ram Mandir auditorium in Telco. The event was organized to honor the valor of Kargil war heroes and commemorate the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas.

Prominent organizations such as Rashtra Chetna, Abhyudaya, Naresh Mohan Smriti Sansthan, Krira Bharati, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Military Matrishakti, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Jai Hind Club, Durga Vahini, Sanatan Utsav Samiti, Kosish, Jodi Riders Club, and Voice of Humanity participated in the event. Their support added a significant dimension to the celebration, reflecting a united front of patriotism and respect for the nation’s heroes.
