Nageshwar Rao meets minister, discusses sport development
Jamshedpur, April 8: L. Nageshwar Rao, General Secretary, Jharkhand State Karate Do Association (JSKA) and Joint Secretary, Karate Association of India (KAI), met Jharkhand’s women and child development and social welfare minister Joba Majhi during the later’s visit to Jamshedpur. During meeting at Circuit House in Jamshedpur, Rao, a well-known 6th Dan, black belt and an established mentor, discussed about the development of Karate in Jharkhand especially for women and children. He also informed the minister about karate training being provided by Jharkhand State Karate Do Association to boys and girls including tribals.
Minister was very much pleased to discuss about this issue and is keen to start karate self defence training for women and children for their overall development, in every district of Jharkhand once the pandemic is over, informed Nageshwar Rao.
Jharkhand Cabinet Minister was glad with performance of two Goelkera girls Sushmita Mahato and Sombari Hembrom who have been doing well in Karate and won several medals in different tournaments.
Nageshwar Rao has been at the forefront in promoting the game in state. Earlier during Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s visit to Jamshedpur last year, Karate coach held discussion regarding development of game in the state of Jharkhand and informed the CM about karate training being provided by Jharkhand State Karate Do Association to boys and girls including tribals, students of Kasturba Schools, High Schools, and Colleges in different districts of Jharkhand.
During the meet, Hemant Soren had informed Nageshwar Rao that state government is looking after development of all sports including Karate.
