Kaoshikii Day celebrated

Jamshedpur: Kaoshikii Day was celebrated in Sonari unit of Dharma Chakra along with all the units of Jamshedpur and schools on Thursday.
Dr. Ashu and Rupa Devi spoke about the benefits of the dance and made people practice it. Kaoshikii dance was introduced to the world on 6th September 1978 by Ananda Marga founder Anandamurti.
“Kaoshikii means ‘Dance for mental expansion’ and is derived from the Sam’skrta word “Kosa” meaning ‘Layer of mind’. It is aimed to develop both body, mind and spirit. It was given mainly for females, but can also be practiced by men. It was introduced on September 6, 1978 in Patna.
Kaoshikii dance has several benefits including-it exercises all the glands and limbs from head to foot, it increases longevity, it makes for easy delivery, the spine will become flexible etc.
