Jamshedpur, Feb 12: One person died while another got critically injured in a road accident on the Tata-Kandra main road under Adityapur police station area in Seraikela-Kharsawan here on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Johnny Lohar, resident of Dimna Basti, Mango, while the injured, Krishna Lohar, was taken to a local hospital, sources said.
Sources said the mishap occurred when a speeding mini truck hit Johnny’s bike. Johnny and his uncle Krishna were going to distribute his brother’s wedding invitation cards.
Police reached the scene and removed the body of the deceased and sent it to the government hospital for postmortem examination. A case has been registered against the mini truck driver in this connection, police said.
