Kamani Centre Shop Owners blood camp collects 102 units

Jamshedpur: Kamani Centre Shop Owners Welfare Association, Bistupur for the first time organized blood donation camp under the aegis of Indian Red Cross Society, East Singhbhum Branch on Saturday, August 8.

Held at the Red Cross Bhawan, Sakchi, shop owners and their family members thronged the Red Cross Bhawan premises since morning to donate blood.  Altogether 102 units of blood were collected in the camp. 

Rajeev Talwar, President, Kamani Centre Shop Owners Welfare Association said, “It is heartening to note many shop owners and members of their family came willingly to donate blood.  While stressing that the Association will sponsor such camps at regular intervals, he thanked the East Singhbhum Chapter of Indian Red Cross Society for accepting their request to hold the Blood Donation Camp at a short notice. 

Bijay Kumar Singh, Hony Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, expressed his gratitude to the Kamani Centre Shop Owners Welfare Association for sponsoring this camp and expressed hope that they will continue to lend a hand to its social development activities. 

Sameer Makani, Vice-President, Ashraf Hussain, Kurshid Alam, Rahat Hussain, Verghese, Kataruka, Om Prakash Agarwal and many other shop owners of Kamani Centre were present on the occasion. 

Anu Mitra Roy, who has donated blood for the 51st time in this camp, has also appealed to the women of Jamshedpur to come forward to donate blood as the Jamshedpur Blood Bank is facing shortage of blood presently.
