Giridih, June 22: Former Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s wife and Gandey’s newly elected MLA Kalpana Murmu Soren reached Giridih today. Kalpana Soren has visited Gandey for the first time after becoming an MLA. On this occasion, the workers gave her a warm welcome.
After reaching Giridih, she first held a meeting with the officials in the new council building. The meeting was mainly attended by Giridih MLA Sudivya Kumar Sonu, Rajya Sabha MP Sarfaraz Ahmed, deputy commissioner Naman Priyash Lakra, deputy development commissioner Deepak Dubey, additional collector Bijay Singh Birua and many other officials.
Kalpana Murmu Soren reviewed the development works going on in the Gandey assembly constituency. Along with this, she also gave many guidelines to the officials. After holding a meeting here, Kalpana Murmu Soren met the people of Gandey assembly constituency and also heard their problems.
It is known that Kalpana Soren has become MLA by winning the recently concluded Gandey assembly by-election. This seat became vacant after Sarfaraz Ahmed resigned. Kalpana defeated Dilip Verma of BJP in the by-election. After the arrest of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, she stepped into politics. She started her political innings from Giridih itself.
