
Hill Top crowned overall champion
Jamshedpur, Aug 10: Loyola School junior section on Saturday organized an inter school fest, Kaleidoscope 2K19.The fest was truly an enriching experience for all the schools that participated as it comprised a host of events that brought forth the spirit of competition among the students of Kindergarten to Std 5. The events were based on the theme Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam � The World is One Family. The school fraternity being a family, the members help each other grow and evolve through these mutually beneficial learning experiences that inspire the children to become global citizens. The fest was organized in the Fasy Auditorium. The students of the guest schools, their teachers and the judges were welcomed with a prayer, a song and a dance. Over 400 students from a total of 19 city schools participated.

There were six events in all. �Universal Stars�, a fancy dress competition for Kindergarten and Std I placed on stage, cute little children dressed up as renowned personalities from across the world.� In the event, �Tinkle Toes�, splendid dance performances were presented by the students of Stds 2 and 3. The dances were choreographed to represent iconic dance forms and they had the audience asking for more. �Bonding Bands�, saw a flurry of activity among the students of Std 2 and 3 who, at their creative best, made fantastic friendship bands. �Global Gaana�, an event combining two songs, the foreign inspiration and its Bollywood remake, was a runaway hit. To sharpen the Intelligence Quotient of the students was the quiz, �Country Wise�, with cutting edge competition and nail biting moments for Std 4 and 5. �Wanderlust� exhibited some beautiful powerpoint presentations created by the students of Std 5, showcasing the uniqueness of the countries chosen as tourist destinations. The presentation made by the students and the variety of events were appreciated by one and all. The programme ended on a happy note as the results were announced. The overall trophy was bagged by Hill Top School while Vidya Bharti Chinmaya School was the first Runners Up and ADLS Sunshine School bagged the second Runners Up title. The best disciplined school was St. Mary�s English High School. The Vice Principal Senior Section, Fr. Michael Fernandes and Vice Principal Junior Section Vineeta F. Ekka gave away the prizes and the Vice Principal of the Junior Section, Vineeta F. Ekka delivered the Vote of Thanks. The National Anthem was sung and a fun � filled day came to a successful end.
