Jamshedpur’s Leading Literary Figures to Share Life Journeys at “Kalam ka Karwan”

Jamshedpur: A unique literary evening aimed at bringing writers and readers closer to the realities of literary life will be held later this month in Jamshedpur under the title “Kalam ka Karwan”. The event that is being organized by Sahitya Sindhika will bring together several respected and well-known literary figures of the city on a single platform.

The literary evening will be held on Saturday, February 21, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Cafe Regal, Bistupur. The details of the programme were shared by Anshuman Bhagat, founder of Sahitya Sindhika and a noted writer.

Unlike conventional literary meets focused only on readings and discussions, “Kalam ka Karwan” will highlight the personal journeys of writers — the struggles, self-doubt, rejections, and social or familial pressures they faced before gaining recognition. Through candid storytelling, the writers will share how their experiences shaped their creative paths, offering an honest and inspiring perspective on the making of a writer.

The program will feature the presence of distinguished and experienced members of Jamshedpur’s literary community, whose participation is expected to add depth and dignity to the evening. However, the emphasis of the event will remain firmly on the journey rather than success, making it especially meaningful for young and aspiring writers seeking guidance and motivation.

“Kalam ka Karwan” aims to take literature beyond formal stage presentations and connect it directly with life, underscoring that literature is born not just from words, but from lived experiences, struggle, and emotion. The initiative is being seen as a thoughtful step towards creating a deeper literary dialogue in the city.
