Kairav Abduction: Jamshedpur Police Seek Remand for 4 Key Accused

Jamshedpur: In a major development in the kidnapping case of young entrepreneur Kairav Gandhi, Jamshedpur Police have moved court to seek 72-hour remand for four key suspects. The police aim to interrogate Amrinder Singh (alias Kartar Singh) and Manpreet Singh, who were arrested in Ludhiana, along with Guddu Singh (arrested in Nalanda) and Arjun Singh (alias Aryan, arrested in Gaya).

While the police have filed the application, the court has yet to pass a final decision on the remand.


Global Alert for Main Conspirator

The police have intensified the hunt for the mastermind, Tajinderpal Singh. Through the Ministry of Home Affairs, authorities have issued a Lookout Circular (LOC) against him. This alert ensures his immediate arrest should he attempt to flee or appear at any airport or railway station.

Additionally, police teams continue to search for other accomplices, including Saad Alam and Rupesh Paswan.


Investigation Progress and Arrests

The police have arrested 11 suspects across multiple states so far:

  • Ludhiana: Amrinder Singh and Manpreet Singh.

  • Kolkata: Gurditta Sher Singh.

  • Delhi/Ghaziabad: Santosh Kumar.

  • Bihar (Various Districts): Rajkaran Yadav (Sheikhpura), Guddu Singh, Md. Imran Alam, Rameez Raja (Nalanda), Upendra Singh, Arjun Singh (Gaya), and Mohan Kumar Prasad (Patna).

Investigations reveal that Tajinderpal Singh and Amrinder Singh stayed in a rented house in Sakchi for six months prior to the kidnapping to conduct recce on the victim.


Case Background

Kidnappers abducted Kairav Gandhi, a resident of the Bistupur CH Area, on January 13. After he spent 14 days in captivity, the police successfully rescued him and returned him safely to his family.
