Jamshedpur Police Interrogate Suspects in Kairav Gandhi Kidnapping Case; Breakthrough Soon

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur police are conducting intensive interrogations of suspects at the Mango Police Station on Thursday in connection with the Kairav Gandhi kidnapping case. Sources indicate that the City SP and DSP Headquarters-1 are personally supervising the questioning as police work to uncover the layers of the network and the conspiracy behind the crime.

Abducted While Heading to Factory

Kairav Gandhi (24), son of prominent Jamshedpur industrialist Devang Gandhi, was abducted on January 13, 2026. The incident occurred after he left his residence in Bistupur to head to his factory located in the Adityapur Industrial Area, causing widespread panic and concern across the city.

Ransom Demand from an International Number

Following the abduction, the family received ransom demands via WhatsApp. The calls originated from a foreign number traced to Indonesia. This international link provided a significant lead for the investigators and shifted the direction of the probe.

Safe Recovery from Barhi

After a continuous 14-day search operation, Kairav Gandhi was safely recovered from the Barhi area of Hazaribagh district in the early hours of January 27, 2026, around 4:30 am. According to police, mounting pressure from law enforcement forced the kidnappers to abandon him by the roadside and flee.

To solve this sensational case, Jharkhand Police had constituted seven Special Investigation Teams (SITs). These teams conducted raids across several states, including Bihar, West Bengal, and Odisha, to gather vital clues.

Suspects Arrested and Weapons Seized

Latest reports confirm that the criminals involved in the kidnapping have been arrested. Weapons have also been recovered from their possession. The police are now using the interrogation process to link the various members of the gang and understand their full operation.

This case is seen as more than just a kidnapping; it points toward an expanding network of organized crime. The proactive stance of the police and their multi-state operations make it clear that the net is closing in on such gangs. The ongoing interrogation at the Mango Police Station is expected to lead to further revelations in the coming days.
