Kadma Rankini Mandir: Devotees attend Vipattarani Devi Puja

Jamshedpur, June 27: Jamshedpur’s Sri Sri Rankini Temple, located on Kadma Main Road, reverberated with fervor as devotees gathered in large numbers to celebrate the worship of Vipattarani Devi. Thousands of women from the Bengali community thronged the temple premises, participating in the auspicious occasion.

Providing insights into the significance of the Vipattarani Puja, Janardan Pandey, the General Secretary of Rankini Temple, along with President Dilip Das and Vice President K.G. Govind, explained that Vipattarani Devi is regarded as a form of Maa Durga. It is believed that by worshiping Vipattarani Devi, devotees receive the divine blessings and protection from crises and calamities throughout the year.

This special puja holds a prominent place among the women of the Bengali community. During the ritual, women observe a fast and tie red threads on their left hand, while men tie them on their right hand, after listening to the sacred story of Maa Vipattarani. The successful completion of the grand puja on a large scale was made possible by the dedicated efforts of esteemed members of the Rankini Mandir, including A.R. De, P.K. Singh, Panduji, Sanjay Kumar, Subhash Kumar Singh, Manoj, Harbhajan Singh, R.M.P. Singh, Deepak Biswas, N. Kumar, Satish Ji, and other senior and junior members. Their contributions and commitment played a significant role in the smooth execution of the puja.
