Jamshedpur : JVM has demanded better facilities for the devotees. Led by Firoz Khan a delegation handed a memorandum to DC. He has expressed concern over rising water level of River Swarnarekha and Kharkai and has asked the administration to take the matter seriously and take steps for safety.
He demanded that the officials of civic bodies along with Jusco should inspect the ghats to understand the situation better. He said that there is an urgent need to properly clean the riverbanks, and various water bodies on the occasion of the festival of Chhat Puja, which is celebrated with gaiety and fervour by people of the city.
