Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) senior leader Abhay Singh today accused Jamshedpur East MLA Raghuvar Das of trying to take credit for the laying of pipelines in the various bustees of the city for water and electricity supply. He said the BJP leader had failed to provide water and electricity supply to the people of the various bustees of the city.
�It is pathetic on part of Raghuvar Das that he has come forth to claim credit for something which he has not done. While being the deputy Chief Minister, energy minister and Urban Development minister of the state, he could not provide electricity and water to the people of this city. Now he has come forward to usurp credit which is not becoming of a politician of his stature,� said Abhay Singh.
The JVM leader was speaking at his office at Kasidih on Monday. He said the former MP of Jamshedpur Dr Ajay Kumar was to be given credit for the work done so far in the water supply projects and projects to provide electricity to the people of bustees.
�The BJP leader is trying to mislead the people. He is saying that it was he who worked hard to get the basic civic amenities for the people. It cannot be any far from the truth which is the fact that the former MP and JVM leader Dr Ajay Kumar is the person who holds credit for the job,� said the JVM general secretary.
The Jamshedpur East legislator had yesterday said that the people of the various bustees of the city were soon going to get Jusco water and electricity supply. He also said that he had sent a request letter to the state government seeking an order to Tata Steel for supplying Jusco water and electricity to the bustee people.
