Jamshedpur, April 19: JUSCO School South Park rallied its students to pedal towards a greener future with a Cyclothon held in celebration of Earth Day 2024.
35 students from Class 7 and 8 participated in the Cyclothon, which commenced from the school campus.
Carrying placards adorned with messages advocating for the preservation of the planet, including “Save Earth,” “Save Environment,” and “Planet Vs Plastic,” the young cyclists traversed the streets of Bistupur for 30 minutes.
Amidst the pedal-powered procession, a poignant Oath-taking ceremony took place at the G-Town Open Gym, where students and locals alike pledged their commitment to sustainable living practices. Their fervent enthusiasm ignited a sense of collective responsibility among onlookers, inspiring them to join the movement for a healthier environment.
Earlier, the Cyclothon was flagged off by the Principal of JUSCO School South Park, Mili Sinha. Her presence underscored the school’s dedication to fostering environmental stewardship among its students and the broader community.
The event not only exemplified the school’s conscientious approach to nurturing a generation of environmentally aware citizens but also served as a beacon of inspiration for others to follow suit.
