Jamshedpur, April 20: Safety of children and the staff in school is of utmost priority for any institution. To educate students and teachers about the same, a fire safety demonstration drill was conducted in Jusco School South Park campus.
More than 450 students from Middle & High school along with 25 teachers & Safe Club members of JUSCO School South Park witnessed fire safety demonstration to mark the observance of Fire Safety Week 2023.
Keeping up with this year’s theme “ Learn Fire Safety, Increase Productivity”, the students witnessed fire safety drill with fire extinguisher and with water jet from fire tender.
Govind Ram Verma , Station officer & Santosh Shukla, fire fighter both from Tata Steel along with their team educated the students about the causes, types of fire and how to respond in an event of an out- of- control fire. The students learnt the use of different types of fire extinguishers.
School Principal Mili Sinha in her address to the students said that preparedness can diminish anxiety and lead to better outcomes in case of an actual fire emergency. She also congratulated and expressed her gratitude to the fire fighters for their selfless contribution to the society.
Pinky Koner, Safe Club moderator, Tami Sikdar, Senior School Coordinator and Gurmeet Kaur, Vice Principal organized the event.
