Jamshedpur: Jusco School Kadma ace JRD Tata Inter-School Quiz

Centre for Excellence conducted the Competition to mark 119th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna JRD Tata

Jamshedpur, July 28: Jusco School Kadma comprising Abhinav Kumar Pathak and Shashwat Bhushan won the JRD Tata Inter-School Quiz Competition organised by Centre for Excellence to mark 119th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna JRD Tata.

The event held at Michael John Auditorium, brought together 200 talented students from 20 prominent English medium schools in the city of Jamshedpur. Participating students showed great fervour and enthusiasm.

J H Tarapore School comprising Sarakshi Pani & Aastha Raturi and Daksh Jain- Divyansh Agarwal of team Loyola School were declared the first and second runners up respectively.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Deepa Verma, Chief HR BP (Corporate Functions), Tata Steel who gave away prizes to the winners. The quiz master was Deepak Kamath, CEO of Tata Steel Support Services.

The competition witnessed an intense battle of wits and knowledge as the participants showcased their aptitude in various subjects. The questions covered aspects of life and times of JRD Tata, challenging the students to think critically and showcase their intellectual prowess.

After a nail-biting competition, JUSCO School Kadma emerged as the deserving winner, showcasing their exceptional knowledge and teamwork. They were followed closely by J H Tarapore, Dhatkidih, who secured the position of first runners-up. The second runners-up position was claimed by Loyola School, whose performance was commendable and reflective of their dedication. The winners and the first runners-up will be taken for a helicopter joyride around Jamshedpur in the Tata Steel helicopter on July 29, 2023.

The JRD Tata Inter-School Quiz Competition serves as a platform to nurture and celebrate the bright minds of tomorrow, instilling in them a spirit of healthy competition, teamwork, and a thirst for knowledge. This event not only commemorates the remarkable legacy of JRD Tata but also reinforces Tata Steel’s commitment to promoting education and intellectual growth among children.
