Jusco Janbazz team shines at Badminton Premier League, enters final

Jamshedpur, Feb 3: The 1st Jamshedpur Veteran Badminton Premier League was inaugurated today Swetabh Suman, Commissioner (Imcome Tax), North East States, at Badminton Training Center, JRD Tata Sports Complex.

The league is one of its kind for Jamshedpur and is being organized by Jamshedpur Veteran Sports club. The league is been supported by JCAPCPL, Tinplate, ISWP, Jusco, Fortune Hotel and Sports Department of Tata Steel.

On the occasion, Ashish Gode of JCAPCPL, R Ravie of Jusco, Sanjay Mishra of ISWP, S K Srivastava of JVSC were present and launched the T shirts of their respective teams ahead of the opening match.

The matches are being played in different categories including Single (Men), Mix Doubles (Men / Women), Doubles (Men) and Singles (Women).

Team Jusco Janbazz directly reached the finals with 8 points. The team defeated Tinplate Warriors by 4 sets to 1. Beat ISWP Rangers by 3 sets to 2. Beat JVSC Fighter by 3 sets to 2 and beat JCAPCPL Jaguars by 5 � 0. JCAPCPL Jaguars (4 points) and JVSC Fighters (2 points) remained in the second and third spot and will play the play off matches on Sunday morning in order to make a place in the final.
JCAPCPL Jaguars who lost to Jusco Janbazz by 0 � 5 won against Tinplate Warriors by 3 � 2, beat ISWP Rangers 5 � 0 and defeated JVSC Fighters by 4 � 1. (4 points).

Team JVSC Fighters who lost to Jusco Janbazz by 2 � 3, and JCAPCPL Jaguars 1 � 4, finally won against Tinplate Warriors 4 -1 and ISWP Rangers 4 � 1. (2 points).
Team ISWP rangers beat Tinplate Warriors by 3 -2. (- 8 points). Team Tinplate Warriors lost all the matches of the league (- 8 points).

Referees for the league are S K Srivastava (Chief Referee), P Mohan Rao, Jagriti Pandey, Monika, Ujjawal. Statistics Referee is K B Shukla.

Earlier, Avinash Kumar, welcomed the guests and helped in smooth conduct of the entire tournament with the support of JVSC Club members R K Mishra, J Behera, Gautam Acharjee, Sanjay Singh.

The playoff match between JVSC Fighters Vs. JCAPCPL Jaguars will be held on Sunday morning while the final will be played at 11 AM followed by prize distribution.
