In Jugsalai Municipal Council, Nausheen Khan has taken a strong lead in the race for the president’s post, securing 6,654 votes in the first round. Election officials stated that counting is progressing smoothly amid tight security arrangements.
Meanwhile, in Chakulia Nagar Panchayat, Sandhya Rani Sardar is leading the contest for the president’s post with 1,729 votes after the initial round of counting.
Officials confirmed that counting is underway across designated centres, and final results will be declared after the completion of all rounds. The elections have witnessed keen participation, with candidates and supporters closely monitoring the ongoing counting process.
