Jugsalai and Potka MLAs distribute agricultural equipment to empower farmers

Jamshedpur: In a significant effort to bolster agricultural practices and empower farmers, a distribution program for agricultural equipment was organized by the Soil Conservation Department at the Joint Agricultural Building in Khasmahal. This initiative, under the scheme of the Land Conservation Department, aimed to provide essential tools to enhance agricultural productivity.

MLA Jugsalai,  Mangal Kalindi, and MLA Potka,  Sanjeev Sardar, presided over the event and played a pivotal role in distributing vital agricultural equipment to deserving beneficiaries.

Under the Agricultural Mechanization Promotion Scheme for the financial year 2022-23, seven women’s self-help groups registered with the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) were presented with mini tractors and accompanying accessories. These mini tractors are poised to revolutionize farming practices and improve agricultural output for these women’s groups.

Furthermore, the program also saw the distribution of power tillers and their supporting equipment to two small and marginal farmers. This support is expected to significantly enhance their farming capabilities and efficiency.

Additionally, two mini tractors and their accompanying equipment were distributed under the SMAM (Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization) sub-scheme, which falls under the centrally sponsored RKVY RAFTAAR scheme. These mini tractors were allocated to Haludbani Lamps of Jamshedpur Sadar and West Badia Lamps of Musabani, both of which function as agricultural equipment banks.

The event was graced by the presence of several dignitaries, including District Soil Conservation Officer, Jamshedpur,  Mithilesh Kumar Kalindi; Soil Conservation Officer, Jamshedpur,  Riyaz Ansari; Soil Conservation Officer, Ghatshila,  Ravikant Rajak; District Horticulture Officer, Mrs. Anima Lakra; and other esteemed individuals.

This initiative reflects the commitment of MLA Jugsalai,  Mangal Kalindi, and MLA Potka,  Sanjeev Sardar, to the welfare and prosperity of the farming community. By providing essential agricultural equipment, this effort aims to improve agricultural practices, increase productivity, and ultimately contribute to the economic development of the region.
