JSA League: Tata Steel beat Adivasi Green Sporting Club 1-0

Jamshedpur, Aug 12: Football fans were treated to an action-packed day of matches in the JSA League on Tuesday, with exciting contests held across three different venues — Sumant Moolgaonkar Stadium, Tinplate Sports Complex, and Armoury Ground.

At the Sumant Moolgaonkar Stadium (Premier Division), Tata Steel edged past Adivasi Green Sporting Club with a narrow 1-0 victory. The decisive goal came in the 37th minute from Rahul Mukhi (Jr. No. 12), whose strike proved enough to secure three points for Tata Steel. Adivasi Green pressed hard for an equalizer but failed to break through Tata Steel’s resilient defence. The game also witnessed high drama as Adivasi Green’s Yadav Shing Munda (Jr. No. 2) was sent off in the 58th minute. Both sides picked up cautions, with Tata Steel’s Rangalal Murmu (66th minute) and Adivasi Green’s Bablu Hansda (18th minute) and Budhram Murmu (22nd minute) booked by the referee.

Meanwhile, at the Tinplate Sports Complex (Super Division), Jamshedpur FC Youth registered a hard-fought 2-1 win over Shishu Dome Come Club. Bikash Tudu (Jr. No. 64) opened the scoring for JFC Youth in the 18th minute, but Shishu Dome’s Prasad Murmu (Jr. No. 22) equalized just nine minutes later. The match remained evenly poised until Purana Chandra Tubid (Jr. No. 18) netted the winning goal in the 73rd minute. Shishu Dome’s Prasad Murmu, the goal-scorer, was later cautioned in the 75th minute for an infringement.

Over at the Armoury Ground (A Division, Group A), Jharkhand Bayar secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Adivasi Development & Welfare Association. The lone goal came in the 15th minute through Sujit Tiu (Jr. No. 85), who capitalized on an early chance to give his team the lead. Despite several attempts, Adivasi Development & Welfare Association failed to find an equalizer.
