JPSC Prelims 2026: Strict Guidelines for 26K Candidates

Jamshedpur: The East Singhbhum district administration has finalized preparations for the Jharkhand Combined Civil Services (Direct Recruitment) Preliminary Competitive Examination scheduled for Sunday, April 19, 2026. Authorities aim to ensure a peaceful, transparent, and malpractice-free examination across the district.

The exam will take place in two shifts at 60 designated centers, with a total of 26,530 candidates expected to participate. The first shift will run from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the second shift from 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM.

Administrative Briefing and Guidelines

District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shri Karn Satyarthi and City SP Shri Kumar Shivashish led a briefing for static magistrates, flying squad magistrates, police officers, and center superintendents at the Birsa Munda Town Hall in Sidhgora. ADM Law and Order Shri Rahul Ji Anand Ji and SDM Dhalbhum Shri Arnab Mishra were also in attendance.

DC Karn Satyarthi emphasized that the administration has deputed adequate police forces and magistrates at every center. “Our priority is to conduct this high-stakes exam with complete fairness and transparency,” he stated. He instructed all officials to report to their posts on time and handle their responsibilities with the utmost seriousness.

Strict Security and Anti-Cheating Measures

City SP Kumar Shivashish detailed the security protocols, stating that police officers will conduct rigorous frisking of all candidates. Female candidates will be searched exclusively by female police personnel.

Key security highlights include:

• Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, electronic watches, calculators, and pagers are strictly banned inside the centers.

• Tech Surveillance: Authorities have equipped every center with Metal Detectors and Hand-Held Metal Detectors (HHMD).

• Zero Tolerance: Any individual found engaging in unfair activities will face strict legal action.

The DC concluded by appealing to all candidates to arrive well before the scheduled start time and strictly adhere to the guidelines to ensure a smooth examination process.
