JPS wins overall champion at Ecstasy-2015

Jamshedpur, Nov. 13: DAV Public School, Bistupur, organized an inter-school event Ecstasy-2015 in the school premises.

�Ecstasy,� a cultural extravaganza, symbolizes the joyful spirit of the youth which was reflected in all the events. As many as 440 students from 18 schools participated in this bonanza. Band, photography, ramp walk, treasure hunt, advertisement, spell bee, dance, canvas, painting, quiz, declamation, gaming, flair styling, Hindi skit, model making, business challenge.

Paratroopers were the highlights of the day. The onstage and offstage events were held at different venues in the school premises. The budding talents set the stage on fire and left the audience spell bound with their stunning performances, creativity and innovation.

Ramp walk was the much anticipated event of the day and this part was full of fun as it was participated in style. It lent the show a great aura. The band performances enthralled the audience to the pinnacle.

The foot-tapping vibrant music made them break their shells and shake shoulders together. This was followed by a foot tapping band performance by the students of Classes XI and marvelous dance recital by the students of Classes X and XI. Jamshedpur Public School ruled the day winning most of the events of �Ecstasy.� DAV NIT was the runner-up of the inter school event.

DAV, Bistupur, principal Pragya Singh gave away the prizes to the winners. Addressing the gathering, Singh said, �Students have gathered here to learn, to know and to collaborate with each other.� She suggested the students and teachers to join ‘Yammer’ which is a freemium enterprise social networking service.

By using a Yammer Group for a class, students will be able to communicate with both the instructor and the other students.

It is used for private communication within organization and is an example of enterprise social software.
S.K. Luthra, regional director of DAV Public Schools, Jamshedpur Zone, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said that the students to enjoy the school life and make friends as citizens of a united India and to have optimistic approach for the betterment of the country.
