JPS students� adventure picnic to Tumung

Jamshedpur, Dec. 19: Jamshedpur Public school organised a unique picnic for the students of class 11 and 12 on Friday along with Adventure India.

Braving cold weather, the students gathered in school at 5 am in the morning. 220 students of class 11 and 12 along with 10 teachers and instructors from Adventure India visited Tumung Village.

At the scenic environs of Tumung base, Adventure India led by Uday Prakash organised various activities for the overall development of the students, the programme called ‘ Outdoor Learning Programme’ ( OLP) included fun filled adventure events such as rock climbing, trekking, confidence building games etc.

We feel it is important to channelize the energy of the young children in the right direction, it is also necessary to emphasize the importance of fitness, said Namita Agarwal, principal of the school.

The students returned at 6pm feeling happy and re-energized, it was definitely an experience that they will remember.
