Jamshedpur: A joint meeting of peace committees of four police stations of Mango was organized at the forest range office, Mango, on Saturday. It was chaired by the executive magistrate cum special officer of Mango Notified Area Committee (MNAC), Sanjay Kumar.
Addressing the peace committee members, Kumar asked them to ensure their full participation in the preparations for Durga Puja and Muharram by the district administration. He sought their valuable suggestions on various points related to peace keeping, crowd control, law and order, civil amenities and general and specific issues.
Kumar asked the peace committee members to play their role in promoting cleanliness and preventing sound pollution during the festivals. He said the various puja committees should make sure that DJs and sound boxes are not used so that there is no sound pollution.
The MNAC special officer said the puja committees and akharas causing minimum sound pollution will be felicitated. He asked all agencies concerned to make arrangements for cleanliness and illumination in and around festival venues.
