Jamshedpur students display impressive yoga skills

Jamshedpur, Sept. 16: Lajpat Public School hosted its 2nd Inter school Yoga Competition 2017 on 16th September in the school auditorium.

Schools namely Sister Nivedita English School, S.S.G, Saptrishi Gurukul, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, South Park, Dayanand Public School, Kasidih High School, KSMS, Tarapore and NML KPS participated.
The contest was judged by national gold medalist� Priyanka Kumari, State champion and yoga instructor of Kasidih High School. Tulsi Kumari and Suspon Sahu.

Mrs. Sujata Sachdev an entrepreneur Rotarian and a renowned social worker graced as the chief guest for the day.
The program began with Ganesh Vandana performed by Aman and Abhitesh of Class VII, who welcomed everyone and pleased the audience with a soothing performance. In the most light and healthy atmosphere the competition was divided into 3 groups, A, B and C began which saw some fantastic display of Asans from the participants.
Students from different city schools displayed impressive yoga skills at the championship.

In Group A (Girls)- Manyata-Tarapore ( Agrico) was first followed by Anshika of N.M.L (K.P.S) and Banshika Baigil of J.P.S. In the Boys- 1st prize went to Abhiraj Bharadwaj of Chimaya Vidhyalaya, 2nd- Vishal Singh Sardar of Saptarishi Gurukul and 3rd – Abhirodh of Jusco South Park.

In Group B (Girls)-1st � Suvarna Shruti of Jusco South Park, 2nd � Ananya Sengupta of K.S.M.S while 3rd prize went to Sherya Shaw of Jusco South Park. In the Boys category-1st- Dishart of J.P.S followed by Sandeep Paul of K.S.M.S and Diron Singh Sardar- Saptarishi Gurukul.

In Group C ( Girls)- first prize was bagged by Aishwarya of J.P.S, second prize went to Kasish Kumari of Lajpat Public School and third prize was won by Smita Kumari of Kasidih High School. In Boys- first prize was won by Ravinder Singh Munda of aptarishi Gurukul followed by Renjer Singh Sander of Saptarishi Sarder and Sahil Kr. Das of Jusco School.

Yoga Kumar was bagged by Renjer Singh Sardar of Saptarishi Gurukul, Yog kumara award went to Suvarna Shuruti of Jusco School South Park while Best Optional was Rajar Singh Sarder of Saptrishi Gurukul. The program ended with charming and scintillating performances from the dance groups of the school. The principal Ranjit Ghosh and Vinod Kumar the, the teachers, participants witnessed the program unfold.
