JOGS hosts first all Jharkhand Obstetric and Gynae Conference

Jamshedpur, Sept. 27: First All Jharkhand Obstetric and Gynae Conference and 42nd bi-annual conference of Jamshedpur Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society (JOGS) was inaugurated in Jamshedpur.

Jamshedpur Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society is a very active society of 142 doctors started by Dr Dasgupta in 1974. Delegates from Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Bokaro, Dhandbad, and Giridih are participating in this state level conference. The conference will have national faculties, Prof. Dr P C Mahapatra (Cuttack), Dr Bhaskar Pal (kolkata), Dr Abha Rani Sinha (Patna), Dr M S Bhatt (Ranchi) deliver lectures on high risk pregnancy- challenges in management, endometriosis, maternal health system in India.

The conference was inaugurated with ceremonial lamp lighting by dignitaries on dais: Chief Guest – Dr M S Bhatt; Guest of honour – Prof. P C Mahapatra; President, JOGS – Dr Ragini Singh; Secretory, JOGS- Dr Mousumi Das Ghosh; Patron – Dr A K Debdas.

The inauguration included release of a souvenir, launch of the society website by Prof. P C Mahapatra. The website will host various information related to JOGS activities, members, past activities, details of conferences and seminar held.

The website was released by,the conference is being attended by more than 120 gynecologists. Lt. Gen (Retd.) Dr G Ramdas, General Manager, Medical Services, TMH, Dr Samadar (CMIS, TMH) are invitees for the conference. Other active members of the society include Dr Manas Kabiraj, Dr Veena Sinha, Dr Sangeeta Singhal, Dr Vinita Singh and Dr Indu Chauhan.
