Chaibasa, April 23: In an impassioned address following the filing of his nomination from the Singhbhum seat, India Alliance candidate Joba Manjhi minced no words in targeting the BJP and rallying support for the alliance. He underscored the significance of the upcoming election, framing it as a crucial battle for the state’s dignity and the legacy of former CM Hemant Soren.
Manjhi implored the public to vote in favor of the bow and arrow symbol, emblematic of the alliance’s commitment to protecting tribal rights and preserving the state’s natural resources. He emphasized the pivotal role of the alliance in safeguarding the interests of Jharkhand’s indigenous communities, citing the sacrifices made by leaders like Late Devendra Manjhi and Dishom Guru Shibu Soren.
Drawing attention to the BJP’s agenda, Manjhi cautioned against the erosion of constitutional protections for tribal rights under their rule. He called upon voters to thwart BJP’s ambitions, highlighting the imperative of preserving ownership rights over forest lands.
Echoing Manjhi’s sentiments, CM Champai Soren expressed confidence in the alliance’s prospects, asserting that BJP’s dominance in Kolhan would be challenged. With a resolute determination, Soren vowed to secure victory on all 14 seats in Jharkhand, signaling a united front against BJP’s attempts to stifle dissent and silence tribal voices.
