JNAC to provide e-rickshaw on rent in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, May 7: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) is going to provide electric autos on rent of Rs 100 per day to the people living in JNAC  area.

For this, security money of Rs 20,000 will have to be deposited. Some documents will also be required to hire a battery operated auto rickshaw.

These documents are needed for hiring an e-rickshaw.

One would have to submit application form along with Aadhaar card, driving license, character certificate (from local police station), PAN card (if any), bank account, income certificate, ration card (if any) as documents to JNAC. One can get it till May 11 with a fee of Rs 250.

According to the conditions of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC), a person will get to drive only one Toto on rent. Along with this, the person to whom the e-rickshaw will be given will have to drive the e-rickshaw himself. That person will not be able to rent this e-rickshaw to any other person.

Even the lowest rate of an e-rickshaw is more than one lakh rupees. This initiative of JNAC can provide employment to many poor people. There are many such drivers who want to work, but they cannot get a vehicle. Or they do not have enough money to invest capital to buy a vehicle. Even the lowest rate of an e-rickshaw is more than one lakh rupees. In such a situation, driving an e-rickshaw by paying a rent of Rs 100 per day can become a good means of maintaining  family.
