JNAC raps multiplex management for collecting parking fee

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee has issued a notice to the management of a Bistupur-based shopping mall cum multiplex to seek an explanation for the parking fee collection allegedly made by it from the visitors. In the notice, the multiplex management has been asked to produce documents giving it authority to collect parking fee.

According to JNAC officials, hospitals, malls, multiplexes or any other public institutions cannot collect parking fee from visitors. Despite repeated rulings given by Supreme Court and various High Courts in this regard, many hospitals and commercial buildings of the city are collecting parking fee, said the officials.
