Fines imposed on owners of 17 vehicles parked recklessly at Sakchi

Jamshedpur: A team of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) here on Monday launched a drive against illegal parking in Sakchi market. As many as 17 vehicles were found parked in an unauthorized manner at different places in the market. Many vehicle owners fled the venue before they could be fined by the officials.

Leading the campaign, Sanjay Kumar, special officer of JNAC, said those found having parked their vehicles in no parking zones were fined on the spot. All vehicle owners were warned against parking their vehicles illegally to make sure they are not fined.

As per Kumar, no parking fee will be payable for parking vehicles anywhere in the JNAC area for 10 minutes. The parking agents will write the timing of arrival and departure of every vehicle for this purpose, he said.

Kumar said the campaign against illegal parking will continue across the city. He said sign boards will be put up in no parking zones for the guidance of motorists.
Today�s campaign was launched by city manager of JNAC Ranjan Pandey, Jyoti Punj Pandey, DK Pandey and MKL Das.
