Jamshedpur: A team of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee launched a drive against polythene in Kadma, Sakchi and Bistupur areas on Monday. A flying squad set up for the purpose cracked down on 15 shops and collected Rs 8500 in fine altogether. The team recovered seized plastic bags from the possession of several fruit vendors who were warned against keeping the same in future. The flying squad also caught 10 persons urinating in the public near Bhuiyandih bus stand. The flying squad was led by Jyoti Punj Pandey.
