JNAC launches drive against unauthorized parking in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) launched a special campaign on Friday targeting vehicles parked in no parking zones along the roadsides in Sakchi and Bistupur. During the drive, most of the violators were let off with warnings, but the authorities have made it clear that fines will be imposed on future violations.

The campaign was initiated on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner to improve the city’s traffic system and address the issue of haphazard parking in designated no parking areas. The public is being informed that parking in these zones will result in strict action going forward.

S. Kumar, a representative of JNAC, explained the importance of this initiative, stating, “It is a common issue in urban areas where vehicles are parked on the road, causing significant traffic disruptions and jams. To address this, vehicles parked in no-parking zones will be confiscated in the future, and can only be released after payment of a fine.”
