JNAC drive catches 10 persons urinating at public places in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: In its mission to ensure a cleaner environment, JNAC has been making several announcements since long to make people aware of the ill effects of plastic use and the benefits of maintaining cleanliness in and around homes.

In one of its moves today, JNAC authorities nabbed 10 persons urinating at public places including Jubilee Park and fined them Rs 150 each. These offenders were given stern warnings before being let off.

A passerby who saw the incident at Jubilee Park remarked, In spite of public toilets at various places, I fail to understand why people resort to such acts (urinating at public places). Only harsh action against such offenders will reduce this nuisance.

The JNAC team also caught four vendors using plastic bags at Bistupur and Sakchi and collected Rs 1,200 as fine from these offenders.

When asked, Tapas Mandal, a private company employee said, This is a good move by the JNAC authorities. Unless such drives are regularized, callous people with zero social sense will continue to pollute the environment.
