JNAC collects Rs 53,000 fine from polythene users

Jamshedpur: A team of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee led by City Manager Sonal Singh launched an anti-polythene campaign in Kadma and Sakchi on Tuesday. In Kadma, the team collected Rs 32,000 in fine while in Sakchi, Rs 21,000 was collected in fine from traders found possessing banned polythene bags.
Sanjay Kumar, Special Officer, JNAC, said the drive against the banned polythene bags would continue indefinitely till the entire city is made free of the plastic hazard.
