JNAC collects over Rs 15 lakh as trade licence fee

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee collected over Rs 15 lakh in revenue against issuance of trade licence in the last one month. Last month too, JNACs revenue collection was considerably higher than the collection made by any other civic body in the state, officials said.

Sanjay Kumar, Special Officer, JNAC, said a revenue collection target of Rs 1 crore has been set for the ongoing month of July. In order to meet the target, we are holding special trade licence camps and spreading awareness among the city traders. Through publicity and meetings, traders are being requested to get trade licence issued in their names as soon as possible, he said.

Kumar said trade licences are being issued through an online system set up for the purpose. Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other trade bodies are also spreading awareness on trade licence in a bid to help JNAC ensure maximum compliance by traders.
