JNAC city buses ply on additional routes

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) pressed all its city buses into service on Tuesday in a bid to provide relief to passengers in view of the ongoing indefinite strike of auto-rickshaw drivers. Special Officer Sanjay Kumar had asked the bus operators to ply on all city routes and increase the frequency of ferries to cover maximum number of people.

Kumar said the situation was normalized to a great deal today with over a dozen city buses making round of the city through various routes. From Wednesday, additional buses would ply in Pardih, Burmamines, Sonari and Kadma, said Kumar, adding that this would be made possible with the help of corporate houses.
The buses that plied today ferried through Dimna, Bistupur, Baridih, Telco, Tatanagar Railway Station, Parsudih, Mango Chowk and Adityapur.

In view of the auto-rickhaw strike, JNAC had pressed into service a flying squad with security personnel to keep an eye on law and order situation across the city. No report of bus service getting hampered anywhere was received by the officials. The Special Officer monitored the bus services throughout the day.
