JN Tata Trophy cricket tourney kicks off at Telco Ground

Jamshedpur, March 11: JN Tata Trophy cricket tournament began at Telco Ground on March 10.

Being organized by Jharkhand Youth Cricket Association the tournament will continue will March 16.

The day-night tournament was inaugurated by Tata Motors Plant Head Ravindra Kulkarni on Friday.

Former MLA Kunal Sarangi, Chief Patron of the organization Pappu Singh, Tata Motors Admin Head VN Singh, Rajat Singh, Union General Secretary RK Singh, Shivshankar Singh, Rahul Pathak, Green Sky Foundation Chairman Akash Sinha and others were present.

Two matches were played on day one of the tournament.

32 teams from Jharkhand and other states are participating.

The winners will receive cash prize of Rs 1 lakh while runner-up will get Rs 70 thousand.

The main sponsor of the event is Green Sky Foundation Chairman Akash Sinha and Patron Kamal Akhtar.

To make the tournament successful, Upendra Singh, Mahendra Yadav, Sonu Singh, Pankaj Singh, Ajit Singh, Omkarnath Pandey, Manish Sinha, Sanjay Prasad are playing active role.
