Ranchi: Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren said that JMM would launch economic blockade throughout Jharkhand if BJP does not withdraw land acquisition ordinance.
The JMM would foil the intentions of Narendra Modi and BJP Government that had brought in the anti-people ordinance.
Soren said that the JMM would not allow the capitalists and corporate houses to acquire land on nominal prices. Soren while recalling the Modiís pre-election announcements that nobody would be allowed to snatch tribal land, said that the same government after assuming the power has sidelined the interests of the poor.
Stating further Hemant Soren said that JMM would extend moral support to Annaís Hazareís campaign kick-started in Delhi, adding it also supported to fast sit-in of Babulal Marandi.
Soren said that his party would submit memorandum to President of India in April and if land ordinance is not revoked it would launch economic blockade in Jharkhand in a phased manner. Soren also urged the chief minister not to implement the ordinance in Jharkhand.
Soren went on to add that media is running Raghubar Das led government. He strongly opposed the governmentís decision to hike VAT on petrol and diesel stating it would put further pressure on the masses.
JMM is opposed to the anti-people policies of the BJP. He said that sum was deposited in the accounts of the people which were opened on a high note.
