Supriyo describes BJP as Becho Janata ki Property party

Jamshedpur, Jan 29: JMM national general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya said that the party was unperturbed over Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee remarks on party’s working president and state chief minister rally at Jhargram on Thursday.

“We are a political party and will be contesting in 33 seats in the bordering areas of Jharkhand in the forthcoming Bengal assembly polls and do not mind what other say about us. We will fight election for victory against any political outfit,” said Bhattacharya addressing media at a city hotel in Jamshedpur on Friday evening.

Significantly, Mamata Banerjee had said that she was hurt that Hemant Soren had addressed a political rally at Jhargram and had advised him to take care of his own state (Jharkhand) as TMC was doing everything for tribals in Bengal and ensuring fundamental rights for tribals.

“We have not decided on any pre-poll alliance as of now we may go either with regional parties or even fight solo. We know our strength and the gathering at yesterday’s rally has further emboldened us. We are confident that we can win against any party be it TMC or BJP,” said Bhattacharya.

Significantly, the  second rally of Hemant Soren is planned in the second week of February, at Raghunathpur in Purulia district while the third is going to take place at Alipurduar in North Bengal in early March.

In 2016, JMM had fielded candidates across 23 assembly constituencies in West Bengal, which were spread across Purulia, Bankura, Jhargram, Birbhum, Darjeeling and Alipurduar districts.

Criticising BJP, the JMM leader described BJP as an acronym of Becho Janata ki Property party.

JMM General Secretary hit out at the BJP for January 26th violence and said the Central government is trying to weaken the farmers protest. He termed BJP as Becho Janata ka Property and accused the Bhartiya Janta Party of selling public property by misleading the people of this country.

“Based on their ruling for the last few years we can say that BJP stands for Becho Janata ki Property party and is only interested in giving away lands and resources to capitalists. The party only wants to create disharmony and discord in the country and has even stopped so low to demean farmers of the country,” said Bhattacharya.
