Jamshedpur, May 5: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) will hold sit-in protest before the DC office on Saturday, May 7 demanding amendments in the domicile policy recently announced by the Raghubar Das government.
To make the sit-in protest successful, JMM working committee members held a meeting headed by district president Ramdas Soren at Nirmal Bhawan in Uliyan, Kadma, on Thursday.
Senior party leaders asked all the block presidents and workers to come out in huge numbers along with their traditional weapons and make the protest a success.
The party leaders termed the local policy as deception for the Adivasi and indigenous people and demanded that the government scrap the policy immediately. Party leaders attending the meeting also vowed to make the Jharkhand bandh on May 14 a big success.
Ghatshila MLA Kunal Sarangi, Mohan Karmakar, Raju Giri, Pramodlal, Babar Khan, Laltu Mahato and other party leaders were present at the meeting.
