JMM protests demanding manual work till March

Jamshedpur, Feb. 6: The online system failure at the Jamshedpur district transport office (DTO) is taking a toll on the vehicle owners.

The fitness work is also not being done on time by the department and the vehicle owners are being told to pay for the damages which is serious issue.

In this regard, a JMM delegation met deputy commissioner Amit Kumar and district transport officer and demanded the department to work on manual basis till the online the online system is fully restored or by March.

The JMM leaders also protested before the DC office and shouted slogans. On the occasion JMM leader Pramod Lal and Mahavirt Murmu said, we will soon visit Ranchi and meet the transport minister and secretary against the issue and would submit a memorandum seeking early solution.

The JMM delegation also demanded action against the long route coach sleeper buses which are being running without permit and with the nexus of the transport department.

The JMM delegation through a memorandum also urged to make the Mango-Purulia bus stand ticket booking counter free from the sturdy.

JMM leaders threatened massive sit-in protest before the DTO if the district administration doesn’t take appropriate action within the next 48 hours.

The delegation included Fazal Khan, Raj Lakda, Ashish Namta, Kalu Gorai, Vinod Dey, Natu Sarkar, Baban Rai, Arun Prasad, Gurmeet Singh Gill, Neeta Sarkar, Deepak Sharma, Pintu Lal, Mohammed Safdar, Shakil Anwar, Anwar Ali, Jitendra Singh, Kake Singh, Raees Alam, Mohammed Kalima, Imran, Sanjay Singh, Probir Gaur and Love Sardar.
