JMM organizes Ulgulan march against BJP in Potka

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Potka block committee, took out Ulgulan Yatra against the BJP on the occasion of birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda on Wednesday. The march on foot started from Harina Mandir and reached Haldipokhar market where party leaders garlanded the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and took mass pledge to uproot the BJP led government from Jharkhand. The entire procession covered 18 kilometres in seven hours.

Addressing party workers and supporters, Sudhir Soren, president of Potka block committee of JMM, said the JMM had started a campaign to root out the BJP from Jharkhand the way Bhagwan Birsa Munda had drive out the British from India. He said a public awareness campaign would be launched to apprise the people of anti-tribal policies of the state government.

Earlier, party workers paid tributes to the former MLA of Potka Hariram Sardar. Khichdi was served to party workers here.

Among those who participated in the programme included Sanjeev Sardar, Hiramuni Murmu, Mahavir Murmu, Ganesh Sardar, Chandrawati Mahato, Sunil Mahato, Avitra Sardar, Mangal Pan and Bharat Sardar.
