JMM leaders remember late Nirmal Mahato on his birth anniversary

Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leaders and supporters paid homage to party founder and Jharkhand revolutionary late Nirmal Mahato on his 69th birth anniversary at Uliyan, Kadma, on Wednesday. The chief guest of the occasion was JMM supremo and former CM Sibu Soren. Newly-elected MLA from Seraikela and senior party leader Champai Soren was also present on this occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Champai Soren said the BJP-led government in Jharkhand had lost popular support by making false promises to the people of the state. He said the party had failed to respect its senior leaders which resulted in a snubbing defeat.

Also present on the occasion, party leader Mohan Karmakar said JMM�s victory in elections had fulfilled the dream of late Nirmal Mahato.

Hundreds of party workers took out a motorcycle rally to participate in today�s programme. Many party leaders were present during the event. They included Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi, Potka MLA Sanjeev Sardar, Ghatsila MLA Ramdas Soren, Ichagarh MLA Savita Mahato, Astik Mahato and Suman Mahato.

Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato also paid homage to late Nirmal Mahato at Chemmury Guesthouse, Bistupur. He said late Nirmal Mahato had played pivotal role in Jharkhand�s formation.

JMM sources said CM designate Hemant Soren was invited as special guest at today�s programme but he could not attend it as he was in New Delhi.
