Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha(JMM) leader Shyamal Ranjan Sarkar has written to the deputy commissioner of East Singhbhum demanding assistance for the workers agitating at the MGM Hospital to stage dharna peacefully.
He alleged that certain people having vested interest in the hospital affairs were trying to threaten the workers and asking them to call off the agitation.
He said the workers were agitating to demand regularization and various employment benefits. �It is unfortunate that the workers are being threatened and being asked to call off the strike.
The indefinite strike was called by the contract workers of the hospital on 15th September last.
